LATITUDE 33 – Blood Orange

Latitude 33 Brewing Company located in Vista, CA touts itself as being “adventurous craftsmen focusing on math, science and artistry”.  At El Toro Gourmet Meats, we like to feature local craft brewers who develop unique and tasty beer. Latitude 33 is such a brewery and its Blood Orange IPA is perfect for hot summer, and Indian summer days like we have here in the beautiful OC.

A reviewer on The Beer Advocate puts it like this:  “A delicious, refreshing, crisp IPA from a well-respected brewery. Pours a darker copper-orange color with a little foamy white head and very spotty lingering lacing. Smells good, lots of fresh orange, tangerine and passion fruit zest hop aromas along with some very mild malt. Tastes similarly, but the citrus is so bright and fresh and not-artificial tasting that I was really impressed. It made the overall experience very pleasurable – bright, juicy, enjoyable beer. Smooth, mild mouthfeel and great carbonation. Absolutely delicious and I would definitely drink multiples of this.”
